Have not heard from the likes of Esleeck, Biscotti, Conway, Ward, Spady and some others. It is not too late if you sign up by Wed. Pls let Art or Mike Council know something and soon. Those that have signed up and have to cancel, do it by Wed, and you won’t be billed; otherwise, expect to be billed, as we are purchasing the food based on your sign-ups. We are a bit short on desserts and hors D’ Oeuvrs’ donors.
We need another Shrimp cooker to help Dan Stegall. More on clean-up crew would be appreciated. Need someone to pick-up the food from Rodmans on Sat and bring to boathouse on Sunday. Need someone to purchase the soft drinks, beer and bottled water and bring to boathouse. Coolers needed. Art and Tim Palmer will get the ice. Brenda will take care of the wine, so those that signed up for wine, pls consider a home-made dessert or Hors D’ Oeuvrs’ in lieu of wine.
Those on the set-up crew need to be @ the boathouse by 10ish Sun morn. Bob Crocker will provide ferry service from the Gov’s Pt public pier. The boathouse check-out crew will leave from Thomas Hazelwood’s Oyster House pier @ 9 a.m. Sat. Show up if you want a boat ride.
Directions to the Gov’s Point public pier: Pls print or memorize.
Off Rt 17, turn into the main entrance to Gov’s Pt (this will be Gov’s Pt Dr.) Go straight at the circle. Take a right onto Gov’s Ln. At stop sign, take a left onto Tindall’s Ct. In approx. 150 yards, you will see a small gravel parking lot. Some of you may have to park on the streets. There is a sign in the gravel lot that indicates it is parking for the Gov’s Pt Homeowners pier. I will make some signage and put it out at the turns.
Bob Crocker, the boat ferry captain, can be reached on his cell @ 544-3030, but you can see his boat when he is at the boathouse, so just wait until he returns to the Gov’s Pt pier unless you get there later in the afternoon and need a ride. We start ferry service around 1 p.m.
